R.I.P

Also, I have a theory as to why second place tends to get better drops. I explained it to Jake in a steamchat, I'll post it here in case anyone else is interested:

Quote:2:19 AM - Brassx: but 2nd place seems to be in that sweet spot
2:19 AM - Brassx: cause you see, it just sets a base rarity to start rolling at(meaning it subtracts that base rarity from all other rarities, if result is less than or equal to 0 it skips). Then it keeps trying till it successfully rolls an item
2:19 AM - Brassx: the 1st place base rarity is a higher number than second place
2:19 AM - Brassx: I'll add some tests
2:20 AM - Brassx: i'll make it count how many times it attempts to roll an item
2:20 AM - Brassx: and compare them over a few orbital rounds
2:20 AM - Brassx: if 2nd place rolls more times then it's better for sure
2:20 AM - Brassx: better only because it has MORE chances at rare stuff
2:21 AM - Brassx: but in theory first place should get better drops easier due to it's base rarity being higher

Now to explain how fourth place gets nothing... (At least every time I've seen an Orbital Round)

Only top 3 get a roll for a random item. Top 10 have a 1 in 3 chance to get Gift Package.

But fourth place never wins anything at all. Like... ever.
