The Donator page should get an overhaul

To be honest I don't like level 2 being able to join because it doesn't take long to reach level 2, I think level 3 would be better as a troll filter.

maybe one of the starter weapons can be specifically made as like slightly worse than heroic specifically for events so people will take low levels without worrying that they'll do shit dps

I just wanted to post because a few of the posts on this thread are something I've been pushing for, for a long time. A lot of them are what would be really beneficial for new players

I've had this idea a long time ago that the lobby could be used more like a hub for everybody, new players and active players alike to do whatever.
It's already like that now with shops, the bank, casino, keys, quests, bosses, etc. So I believe that if it were open to new players it could even be an attraction to introduce new players to FRG as whole instead of just TTT which not everyone might be interested in.

A lot of the unique FRG content is locked behind level 5 through TTT when it's stuff that would be popular to all sorts of players(survive for example). I imagine it'd be a strong way to advertise the server more.

I've seen new people join the lobby constantly just to get kicked out, never to be seen again; or join TTT get stomped by someone who needs an ez kill for challenge scroll and ragequit
I would much rather have staff deal with the random troll if new players can get a better first impression and see more of the content.
(It would give Alex something productive to do while he opens crates at least)


When I suggested this originally (in 2016?) the lobby cap was changed from 10 to 5 instead of being removed for fear of trolls or Excel using his alts as a bank but with better staffing and runes of banking that should not be an issue.
There may be some serious issues with people trying to evade cooldowns and I'd understand if it wasn't done for that purpose. I'd like to see it given a chance at least.

For the lobby we could add another wall for people who are above say level 5, where those people can access the shop area, etc, while low levels are forced to stay in the main area/casino

Id rather not do a level 5 wall to the shops, noobs need to bank also. Now Id say make event servers could be 5+, so they somewhat know what they are doing when they get on.

Better party support. (make the lobby parties save, so you can dc and rejoin while still in the party)
Bonus exp for being in a party on ttt? (maybe just +5 exp per round for being with a "friend" on the server)
Frag shop overhaul.
fix whatever causes keys to lag the server so we can remove the timer. (even if you have to make a masterserver to handle the rolling instead of doing it on the joined server)

Ring itemtype(misc slot): lobby/event bonus stats/rng chance.

More trash loot in lobby, maybe random 1-500coinstacks or 1-2crates will spawn as loot orb in random reachable locations. 6+ active players for it to happen.

FIX ARVIDS FUCKING RUNE CHANCES

Edit: Lobby loot goblin event when? No announce, just occurs and people on lobby when it happens will hear it and have limited time to find it.

edit2: Donator page needs to have influence on the giveaway list, maybe every 500$ donated one random godlike, including replicas could be added. Not just per month though, if 4 people donated for 500 each, 4 godlikes would be added to the giveaway.

More rare spins from donator spin2win, less rubies. Why cant we get boss tokens with a chance of like 1/25 for the spin.

The same thing that causes 'keys' to lag the server applies to crates. Keys were literally moved to the same system crates use for cooldowns. There's no fixing that. Too many queries pile up from too many people rolling, the only sure-fire fix is to wait for your queries to fully go through to continue. Which is what it does. It's not any logic causing it to lag, it's simply a buttload of traffic.

(Its not lagging the FPS or performance, it's backing up the MYSQL server)

Just a thought, dunno. Like, the Blackdeath thing was pretty cool, more incentives to keep people interested would be good. Just my opinion. I like the idea of VIP, but I also don't do events so there's a big part of it useless to me. Could even go a video-game-esque route where your VIP can be "tailored", i.e more of one thing, less of another? Stuff like that. Donation incentives to keep people ponying up.

Any better ideas related to this or reasoning on why it should all stay how it is?
