  Randomized Enchanceables w/Crate IDea

So, I kind of enjoyed the concepts of having roll-able crates drop from other crates, forcing people to roll different crates if they want to get the interesting loot. Building upon that idea, I was thinking that we could do with a new crate, like a Tinker's Crate or something, that only drops from something like Bone Crates or the Leviathan/Seraph duo. Something to make them a little more desirable for people to purchase. This new crate would be of Primordial tier, so they're going to be pretty rare. This new crate would pull only of the Primordial rarities, excluding the Demonic and Angelic tiers. However, with this new crate, it would have a new tier that could roll: something to the line of either Tinker's (Weapon Type) or Jury-Rigged (Weapon Type) or something to that effect. These would be Enhanceable items, but they have something unique about them: their stats aren't concrete stats like the other weapon tiers. They would spawn similarly to how the Garbage Tier spawns, where they don't all have the same stats available to them. They can have at minimum 4 stats, pulled randomly, with one of the stats having to be negative. They would have a max Enhance level of 15, but in order to gain weapon experience, you have to sacrifice Raw Energy to the weapon. Personally, I like the concept of just sacrificing Raw Energy into the gun and having it give experience using the sum of the Raw Energy's percentages (used as straight numeric values, e.x. 9.8%=9.8 in the equation) and dividing it by the function (weapon-level)+1. This means that a base gun would divide the experience by 1, a +1 weapon would divide it by 2, and so on and so forth. This not only gives a further use for Raw Energies, but would be a fun system to overall implement. I'm not sure as far as stat ranges what should go there, and whether or no the base percentage would be the same every time.

New Forum Marketplace
The new marketplace design is here, it should look much better. With it comes a few new things:

  • Better looking Market Entries.
  • Item Icons. Finally managed to write a working system to export icons for every item type.
  • Type of Item is displayed.
  • Brand new stat-display to mimic the new in-game one.
  • Randomly rotating background for the marketplace.

Changes
  • Added a failsafe to Rune of Fortunes that always makes you get a drop if you hit the 75% chance 'proc'.
  • Adjusted rune ritual to give better runes more often for higher-tier rituals.
  • Local Damage indicators are now clientside(the red marks on screen when you're damaged), so no extra networking is needed.
  • Hitmarkers have been optimized and wont spam send net messages when too many too quickly need to be displayed. It's limited to 1 per 0.1 seconds currently.
  • Damage indication numbers have been optimized to send less data at once.

Additions

  • Added a setting in !settings to enable a global chat window. You can move this around to where you would like it and it fades out when not active. (it also saves its position)

    You can bind a key to "br_globalchat_focus" to make its input gain focus, alternatively you can just use left ctrl to enable your cursor, and click on the text input box to type in it.

    If you enable this, it will no longer show up inside the !servers menu. You also can't read it mid-round while alive.
  • The last 20 messages in the global chat are now sent to you upon connect on any server they are properly cached on.
  • Added "Rune of Shared Fortune" to the coinshop for 250 rubies. This grants every applicable player on the server (including yourself) +4 Rune of Fortune Rounds.

Changes
  • Frostburns specials no longer work on Survive/Grim's.
  • Spellbooks no longer work on Survive/Grim's.
  • (Old) Rune of Fortune now has a 25% chance to give you a random crate, vs a normal item roll.

Additions

  • Added a Cross-server global chat box below the server list in the "!hop" menu. (click servers button in Inventory).
    Currently you can only send normal text messages through this, but I may add item linking and what not later on.
  • The Server switching menu now pops up when the server crashes.
  • You can now right click a server and see the players online,.
  • The server display now says when a player you have blocked is on one of the servers.

The new way crates roll is great for new players who want to see what is inside the crates. And while it is still very new and a work in progress, I believe a lot of regular players would prefer being able to toggle the new crate system on and off in F1 settings.

  Little Accident

So while my brother and I were on vacation I had an accident that fucked up my foot pretty bad. I'm stuck in a boot for 4 weeks. I can't play because of where I have to sit and my feet hang and it puts a lot of pressure on my bad foot. The quicker this heals the quicker I can get back into the string of things!

  • Added a New Server menu in game. You can access this by clicking the "Servers" button at the bottom of the Inventory or via !hop !servers, or !switch.
    You can use this menu to view and swap to our other servers. (Huge thanks to Tobias for making it)
